Angels – Michael along with Gabriel are recognized as “Archangels”
in Judaism, Christianity and Islam
Mentioned
in the books Daniel (as helping Daniel as at end times standing with the “children
of The people),
the Epistle of St Jude (tells of His
guarding the tombs of Moses and Eve and of his battle with Satan over the body
of Moses)
and the Book of Revelation where Archangel
Michael and his angels will do battle with Satan.
Archangel Michael and angels are “heavenly”
bodies different from humans as St Paul tells us “not all flesh is alike.” Sometimes they appear as humans and other times
as invisibles.
Archangel Michael as the “champion”
of Christians and the Church fights Satan, escorts the soul to heaven at the death
and will summon all mankind for heavenly judgement!
