The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity.
The incarnation of Christ was accomplished through the conception of the Virgin Mary through by Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit in the form of a dove appeared over Christ as He was being baptized by St John the Baptist - while God the Father reveals "this is my beloved Son..."
Christ speaks of God the Father sending the Holy Spirit to be with the Apostles and all of us at Pentecost with "tongues of fire" descended = on the Virign Mary and the Apostles assembled in the Upper Room where Christ instituted the Holy Eucharist.
Today he is with us and protects the earth. In the Christian East churches are decorated with green plants and leafs to symbolize His presence.
