CHRIST - DIVINE MERCY – FOUNTAIN OF MERCY
The beloved image of Christ with his right hand blessing and his left hand on his Sacred Heart. Rays from this image have symbolic meaning: Red the Blood of Christ and white the forgiveness of souls. The entire image is a symbol of charity, forgiveness and the love of God as the Fountain of Mercy.
The image was first described by a Polish nun, Kowalska, wrote in her diary that Jesus promised
“I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will
not perish. I also promise victory over enemies already
here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I will
defend it as My own glory.”
The Feast of Divine Mercy is celebrated in the Roman Catholic Church on the Sunday following Easter.
